Default Who Has Done What

Who has done what about the glare of the sun coming
off the chrome of there road kings? The sun shining off
the chrome of my road king is about to blind me. I've
thought about every thing from painting the chrome pieces
flat black, to sand blasting the chrome to give it a dull finish.
LOL Maby I need to duct tape it.

Cool

The first thing you do when you get up out of bed
Is hit that streets a-runnin' and try to beat the masses
And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses"

on my flhtc I often lift the gas lid and ride with it open to defeat the glare

there is no way I would add chrome anywhere it could reflect the sun back at me

Hmmm, I find this interesting as I have ridden my RK for 65k miles, through prairie, mountains, desert, high noon, sunrise, sunset, spring summer and fall and I have never had an issue with chrome glare. And I have plenty of chrome as I am a chomeaholic.

Just interesting. Please proceed.

Truth is, the chrome bits are supposed to gleam in the sun or you just aren't spending enough time polishing! The previous owner of my 09 RKC attempted to address this problem by spray painting the lower portion of the windshield black. It may have been effective for him, but it didn't do anything improve the aesthetics of the bike, so I replaced it. Although it may take you a little longer to get where you are going, my suggestion is always ride with the sun at your back and cast a big shadow ...

I know what you mean, I ended up painting my gas lid black on my ultra to get rid of the glare, chrome can be a pain in the asx.

I never wash my RK much less wax it yet the speedo cover insists on glaring me under my glasses.
