I have a 09FLTR (Red Hot Sunglo) and my garage is also my bands practice space. Well "someone" caught my front fender with a sharp metal corner just about right in the middle of my front fender. I just got the bike back together and don't want to deal with any body work or painting. I'm looking at "hiding" it for the summer with some kind of low profile spear I can stick on over it, then I can take care of it next winter. Kuryakyn makes one for the Gold Wing http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/409...t-Fender-Spear but I would have a hard time putting that on my bike (I'd never hear the end of it, LOL). It is about the right size that I'm looking for and would cover the 1/4" ding. I've been all over eBay looking for something off an old car from the like the 50s or so, but just haven't found one close enough. Hell I can't even find anything other than the Kuryakyn one. Anyone got any thoughts of where I might find something of this nature?

Thanks for the reply Easycruzer. Your link brought me to the main parts page of the HD site. Was the link referring to the HD Bar and Shield Spear? If so its in the running for consideration if I can't find anything else. My concern is that spear is only wide enough where the HD logo is, so positioning would be a little more critical, but maybe doable. Thanks for the option, if that's not what the link was could you maybe try again?

IMHO there is nothing about the "Gold Wing" one that makes it Gold Wing specific. If that's the one you like, run it. I highly doubt anybody would "know" it's for a 'Wing unless you told 'em. I wouldn't.

 

You have been blacking out your bike now you want to put some tacky piece of chrome on the front fender, I would get that pin stripe added to the front fender to cover it up. maybe some sort of vinyl graphic and get it cleared. But if you are going to put on that maroon bike with all the black parts. Ugg
