Antenna's

I have replace my antenna's 3 times and either manage to lose one(yesterday)or they snap off like the stock ones did. Has anyone tried the stubby antenna's I see advertised and on ebay. The last set on my bike was the rubber flexible ones, and they lasted a long time. I lost one yesterday(vibrated loose I guess). I am thinking about the hidden ones that go in the fairing, but don't know how good they are. I do like my music on the road and don't want to mess with CD's or a MP3 type player.

I have the J&M shortys and they have stayed on for five+ years. They have a set screw to keep them locked down.

J&M Shortys here as well. As mentioned they have a set screw to keep them in place and my CB reception actually improved with them.

I have the hidden. Of course the reception isn't as good as a regular antenna. But I don't have to worry about losing it.

I put a antenna from a car (the stiff ones) in the fairing and it works great. By far better than the hogtunes one.

Another J&M here, my wife has the hidden, my reception seems to be a bit better than hers.

I took the Ant. bracket and turned it so it was facing straight up. I had to drill and tap the bracket.. I ran the stock ant. along the frame.. It works better than before... I just bought a rubber plug from HD and now no ant showing and it only cost my about $2.00. Works great.

I got the tune trapper works as well as the large whip antenna if not better. I replaced antenna because of fender cover not reception. I noticed no difference in a bad way. It pick ups all the same stations my car truck does. Well worth $30.
