Default Another transmission bearing failure

Our 2009 police Electra Glide had big chunks of metal on the drain plug magnet when I changed the trans oil a few weeks ago. Bike has 3,900 miles. I took it to the local dealer who tore into it and found the 3rd gear caged roller bearing gone, as in disintegrated. Of course now they are putting in all the bearings along with an output gear assembly as they had to heat the hell out of the big nut to get it loose and it tempered the output gear. Apparently the left mainshaft bearing, the one that supposedly goes all to hell on these 6 speeds, was OK but its obviously being replaced also.

Has anyone else had the small caged bearings go bad in the 6 speed? Those who have torn down the 6 speed before, do you also heat the large drive sprocket nut to remove it?

WOW...and just @ 3900 miles...that's gotta be a faulty bearing from supplier, or bike was assembled on Friday @ 4:59PM.
