Thanks, thats what I wanted to hear. Some guys on here seem to have more $$ than they know what to do with...meaning that they are constantly changing one thing for another. I try to do things once and only once...sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't

help confirm.. 2011 stock rear is D407 180/65B/16 and front is D 130/70B/18

are the American Elite 3's exact same tire size numbers ? I can only find 180/60B or 70B/16 ($232) for the rear and 130/70B/18 ($180) for front size. Since stock says 65B for front, should i go with 70 or 60 size ? Prices are from canadian site in CDN funds.

My OEM 2010 Ultra came with:
D407 180/65 B16 rear; and D408F 130/90 B16 67H

I replaced those a year ago (see post #4) with:
American Elite 180/65 B16 rear; and Elite III MR90-18 on the front (2012 FLX take-off wheels).

I really like these replacement tires with about 10K miles+ and still lots of tread.

I will say that the OEM Dunlops got great mileage front and rear; well over 25K miles on both before changing out.
YMMV.

Nope,Nouvelle Ecosse au Cap Breton.I can get tires to me from Petes in 2 days for $20 shipping.Nobody around locally sells for less than msrp(rip off)and I install my own,I own two bikes and about 10 riding buddies that I order tires for I add a bit for profit and can install for less than what they charge for just the tire locally.Plus it paid for my tire changer!
