Default 2012 Streetglide adding a Tour Pack ????

OK guys, I have a 2012 Streetglide that I have added a Tour Pack to. My question is I would like to make the tour pack lights function as turn signals. I know Harley makes a kit to do it on a Ultra but they still have the Stop/run lamp in the center of the fender and separate turn signals, the streetglide has the Stop/Run/turn all in one.

Any thoughts? Has anyone done this?

Default Tour pack SRT

The auxiliary harness for the tour pak is separate from the harness for the fender tail light / turn signals.

I have the auxiliary harness installed in my detachable tour pak, it plugs in under the seat on the harness to the fender tail light / turn signals.

I also have the harness for the RBT feature on the tail light / turn signals on the fender.

Either work independent of each other depending upon if they are pluged in or the work together if pluged in together.

Neat systems.

I have the run/tail lights working on the tour pack, there is no wire for the turn lamps. The kit they sell has a Y connector that would go between the harness on the Ultra, I don’t think the harness is the same for the streetglide.

Default Kit contents

The kit for the tour pak has a flasher module that installs inside the tour pak in a rear corner. The harness connects the the TP lights to the flasher and to the harness connector under the seat.

Try this link, it may help.

In figure #1 The connector they are talking about (1)-(2) does not exist on a streetglide. That is a 7pin rectangular connector; the Ultra has one additional lamp that the new streetglide does not. The rear fender light harness is under the Lt. Side cover on a streetglide, it is a 4-5 pin square connector that runs to the tri-bar light on the bottom of the rear fender, the turn signal/stop plugs into the tri-bar light.

There is an extra plug under the left side cover.

Default Crossover

Understand and thanks for the guidance.

One can make a crossover from the SG connector to the RBT connector with the necessary wire from the SG side of the made connector doubled on the SG side and singled into the TP RBT side.

The connectors can be bought at the dealer or ordered online from electrical outlets. It would help maybe to have the electrical manual, my 2009 won't help you as there has been a change from 2009 to later years. A meter would work if you are comfortable with that.

I doubt that there is a plug and play solution without you making the plug and play harness. The good thing about this method is you do not cut wires.

Sorry that there is not a ready solution.

Did however find this thread, seems that others have figured out a solution.

Hope it helps. Keep all posted, should be others interested.

I think this is what I am looking for, I will check the Right side cover for the turn signal plug.
