Default driving lights adjuster nut

what tool will work for the nut on the bottom of factory driving lights, without conflicting with the wire?.....

You can use a socket with a noth cut out of it. Like a Oxygen sensor socket. (easy to make yourself) or a offset box end wrench that has a peicesut out like a line wrench. Might even be ableto find an offset line wrench that is the right size.

I asked that very quesiton many months ago and got several good answers. Even had someone post the way to make one yourself. Do a search and it should be there.

Just use an adjustable wrench. Hold the wrench still and turn the light to tighten a little at a time.

If you have a spare 9/16 socket and a grinder, simply grind a slot about 1/4" to 3/8" wide in it. When you use it, don't keep tightening as the wire will become trapped in the slot, tear, and then the installation will require a splice to repair the torn wire. Instead, do about 1/2 revolution of the nut, remove the socket from the nut (freeing the wire), and tighten; repeat until nut is secure.

I bought a flare nut socket from Snap-on tools. Your service manuel from HD has the part number in it. Works great. You could also use a oxygen sensor socket, same hing.

My mechanic just had me hold the bike and he just tweaked them by using some pressure with his hands. He said "They're a pain in the **** and it's easier to just force them a little."
