Default Looking to buy a Road Glide...what's a good price?

I'm starting to look at a 2012 Road Glide Custom in black with ABS, security and cruise or maybe a 2012 CVO Road Glide.

What did you guys pay for yours? Whats a good price to pay for each?..I'm thinking $3000 off of sticker would be a good price.

Thanks for the help.

Doubt you will get any off of a CVO.

When the 2013's come out in August you might expect to see some reduction in the 2012 Road Glides...depends on the dealer.

Thanks for the input but I'm looking for a number. I understand the concept of waiting but sitting on the side lines watching for 6 months doesn't seem like all that much fun.

So if you have bought one or know a dealer invoice price throw out some numbers.

I know if I buy one the HD forum members will tell me what I should have paid...LOL!

Wrong time of the year to find heavily discounted bikes but I made the dealer an offer last week on my black ‘12 Road Glide Ultra and he took it.
I walked out paying $22500 total for all taxes, license fees, etc....Best deal I ever bought a new Harley for. He also threw in two 25% off vouchers for anything I want to purchase.

He said since he had that bike on the floor for over two months, he thought it was time to discount. He would not discount the Road Glide Custom so I paid $100 less for my ultra than I would have for the Custom.

After the 4th of July is when the dealers around here start coming off the price of current year bikes.

As for a new engine in the 2013's...I asked one of the more knowledgeable salesmen around (Jeremy at Dothan, AL HD) our neck of the woods if there was a chance a new engine (or at least the 110) might be in the works and he pretty much said...no chance. I hope he is wrong but I have a feeling he is right.

As others stated, this isn't the best time to haggle for a bike. With the riding season starting, and HD lowering the available inventory, most dealers will not want to deal. If you are set for a discount, then forget about the CVO. Any discounts on them are rare and far between.

My new vivid black RGC comes home Wednesday! I spec'd out the bike. My dealer had to find it and trade for it.

I was surprised that not too many dealers get the RGC with ABS. It took my dealer a few days to get a hold of one with the ABS option.

The link below was a good starting point for my thinking as I worked with the dealer to get to an agreed price. My dealer did tell me the costs shown on this website are pretty accurate. FYI - I didn't buy the bike at invoice but I also didn't pay MSRP.

Just picked mine up a week ago today, I am convinced you can't get a discount or deal with these guys without a trade. I priced 3 places in Florida and best I could get was MSRP. Mine is exactly what you asked about, ABS/security & cruise.
I stopped on my way home from Florida at what used to be Mikes Famous in Wilmington DE bottom line, the deal was $10k + plus my 04 FLHRSI w/26k on it, tax & tags. Then they pissed me off, after all the paperwork was completed, did some swapping (I wanted my floorboards and other minor stuff) they through in some $600 in dealer fees. Check was $11,151 OTD.. Paperwork shows the new one at $19,000, trade allowance $9000... Since I only paid $9600 fot the FLHRSI 2 years and 21,000 miles ago... I think I did okay. I prefer buying used, but I wanted the latest this time. BTW, the Heritage in the photo I bought 3 weeks ago for my GF, a 09 with 4500miles $13,500. Thats how to buy a motorcycle! Oh, and I sold her 'trainer' a 03 Honda for what I had in it 2 hours after putting it in the driveway with a for sale sign!
