Reach under the ignition cap and pull the plug down. release plugs for each other. install harness. tuck back into fairing

Edit:... Mine was hanging down where I could do it without removing the front fairing.

I put one on with my LED's and love it. Couldn't do mine from the bottom, but I've been into the fairing several times and most likely zip tied the wires tighter to keep rubbing down.

I did mine with the HD part. Pretty easy to do. I had to remove my front fairing however. The only problem I had was braking apart the original connection to install the new wiring harness. I had to use pliers to brake the connection. There is a little tab holding the connections together which must be pushed down in order to release the connections. Once that was completed, its just a plug and play deal. Good luck!

This is what the shop tech told me and also went into the showroom and look under one bike said nope and went to another reach in under the panel pull a wire harness and said this is it, just un plug and plug the new harness inline. Just above the right fork and top triple tree under the switch panel even with the accessory switch. Of course I get home look under mine and can't reach it. I had to pull the front outer fairing off. Takes about 15 minutes to complete instead of 1 minute.
After installing when the ignition is on or to accessory position the spots will be on. You will have to turn the spot switch off if you want them off. So dont turn your ignition switch to acc to listen to the radio without turning the spots off.

Has anyone put these on a 2012 ultra CVO? I've looked on mine and the cable is different since the spot light switch is also the cruise switch.

Put one on my '09 CVO Ultra. Same switch as yours.
