Default aux gas tanks on FLHTK 2011

Anyone knows how to set up a aux gax tank on a FLHTK 2011? I am pretty sure someone here had done it before. I can't use gravity because the new tank has pressurize and also use the fuel pump inside the tank. Please let me know if anyone has done this and would really like to get one.

I have done lots of iron butt. 4 ss1000 which is 1000 miles in less than 24hours, 2 bunburner which is 1,500 miles in less than 36 hours, 2 ss2000 which is 2000miles in less than 48 hours and 1 50cc which is coast to coast in less than 50 hours. Now I am going to do a 100cc which is coast to coast to coast under 100 hours. A aux tank will help.

Any ideas or Harley expert here that can or have ideas on how to do a quick disconnect so that when my wife wants to ride I can take it out.

Thanks

You are an animal! Congrats on all the long distance accomplishments!

I kinda like the idea of their tour tubes. Nice welding work:

I have seen those and going to get one, the 6 gallon but my dilemma is how to hook up on my FLHTK 2011 since I can't do a gravity feed like the pre 2008. the 2011 is pressurize. I want to hear from someone that has put a aux gas tank on the 2011. So I can put one to my bike. Even better if they are in Los Angeles.

I have 2 reda gas thank that fit on both of my saddle bag. Still takes time to stop and put it on. Am looking for a quick way. sometimes I can't help but ride around 100 miles or more so meaning more gas. but if I average 75 - 80 mile I get over 240 miles a fill up.

Default Auxiliary fuel tank

I just saw this post. I am looking into adding a tank used by Goldwing Iron Butt riders called Quick Tank.
http://www.firecreekacc.com/quicktank/index.htm
I believe the fuel cap adapter on top of the tank can be drilled to accept an elbow. I like the Quick Tank since I'd be able to still put luggage on top of the tank.

The accomplishment would be more rewarding in my view if done without extra gas on board.

Here is another aux tank setup and they should have the tech support.

I am not sure what you are talking about but my 2011 tank is not pressurized..It's vented. and the pump has been in the tank since 2007 at least, that I know of.
