Does anyone make a wire harness that will allow you to use an after market head unit and still use the handlebar controls?

 

On my 2005 flht, I installed a Sony and used the Biketronics kit.

I have the Hawg Wired unit (HUA360). It works most of the time but I read far more problems with the biketronics which is why I went Hawg Wired. One day I'll get this thing completely figured out but now I can use my hand controls with my head unit.

 

Yes, go to the cycle accessory store on line, I bought the biketronics sony stereo system, comes with everyting you need, plug and play, there are different stereo options you can get, I bought the sony that will hold a mp3 player behind the face in the stereo, can pay hundreds of songs and dont have to deal with cd's. you can get a whole system including speakers for about $500, you also have the option of upgrading, I did and put 6.5 speakers in, or you can just buy the stereo or whatever you need.

The system works with your controls on the handle bars, I love mine and is better quality and sound then a stock harley system for a much lower price.
