Default different tires brands front and rear?

Is anyone running different tires brands front and rear? I have a 2010 SG and have the Dunlop 408 on the front that is like new and I am thinking about going to a Michelin on the back. What is your opinion?

i bought my bike used about 2 months ago and the dealer replaced the front and back tires before delivery. they put a michelin up front and a dunlop in the back. I put almost a 1,000 miles on it so far and haven't noticed a thing wrong with the way it handles. I say do it....

Got a Michelin on the rear and a Dunlop on the front of my Ultra and it rides fine. Have a Pirelle on the rear and a Metezler on the front of the SG and it rides fine. Don't mix radial and bias ply construction, however. Sidewalls flex differently and could lead to problems.

You can mix brands and radials & Bias ply with no problems...As a matter of fact some HD came from the factory with a radial and a bias... With the way they make bias cross ply today it has almost the same characteristics of a radial tire. This was told to me by a Guy that stayed at the Holiday Inn Express....
I have a Michelin Commander on the rear and a Dunlop Elite III on the front...

Cool

Just had to change the front and it is a Micheline Commander II and the rear is a E3, and before all that I had a 402 on the front and a E3 on the rear. they only seem to be the same on occasion. Once the back waers down probably after the wall run it will get a Commander II. then they will match again as long as I like the tire.
