Replacement Bulbs for Front/Rear Turn Signals?

Ya they seem to fit in the same socket, but elements don't line up, so you can't use one element in a two element, and get one element to work.
1157LL $2/pair at fleetfarm. They were out of the 1156. I bought 6 , for my 2 bikes, so I am good for awhile. Might just go and replace them all.
