Default New oil temp gage

Just got my new oil temp gage.
Seems the new gages have changed a bit.
They no longer come with a new brackit
for mounting, you reuse the old one.
Also I am wondering about the plug that is for the
gage end. All that is in the plug is the two wires from the
sending unit. Confusion comes from needing three wires and the plug not
fitting the gage.
The new part number is70900284 ,it was 75324-05.
Anybody install one of these new gages.
Thanks

I installed one a couple weeks ago. Easy job. No splicing wire in the fairing.

This part number is for the SG oil temp gauge with the silver face. The black face gauge is part# 75265-04A and it comes with a (metal) bracket. I didn't use the bracket. I used the plastic one from the useless air temp gauge and I relocated the voltmeter where the air temp gauge was so that the 2 oil gauges are together on the right side.

Good idea as those gauges do belong together.

There's plenty of slack in the wiring to relocate the voltmeter gauge from one side of the inner fairing to the other.
I paid $110 for the oil temp gauge with sensor and harness on eBay. 100% plug and play.

How do you use the connecter that goes at the gage end?
Do you reuse the old air temp connecter some how?
Thanks Shortleg[Dave]

Nope. The gauge comes with its own harness. One end connects to the gauge in the fairing and the other end connects to the oil temp sensor (supplied) attached to the oil pan under the bike.
The instructions coming with the kit are very clear.

I just installed one two weeks ago, the instructions said to use the air temp harness at the gauge end. The sensor wire connects to the 107 connector (air temp sensor). You unplug the air temp sensor and plug in the wire from the oil temp sensor. The trick was to find the 107 connector. On my Road Glide, it was burried inside the speedo/tac housing.
