Question Security System Problem-Red key ON

2007 Ultra Classic.

Driving to work today I noticed the little red security key was on, I figured that the fob key was dead or dieing so no big deal. After work I went to start the bike and the alarm did go off, so I figured its gotta be the key fob battery. I entered my security code with the turn signals and all was good.

When i got home I installed a brand new battery into the fob. But still the security alarm goes off. I had two brand new fob batteries and tried both and nothing will make the fob work.

Any idea what the issue or issues may be??

As I said, it will run fine if I enter the code manually with the turn signals----this will get to be a pain in the a$$ in no time---Any help would be great.

I'd love to avoid taking it to the stealer if possible as the nearest dealer is 3 hrs each way.

PS----I did try removing the 40 amp orange main fuse trick as I read on here, That didn't work

Thanks in advance!!!

Have you tried your other fob, assuming you got 2 with the bike?
Possible your fob got fubar, according to the manual they can get "scrambled" it near other electronics.

Brought home new SG two weeks ago, found one fob not programmed to the bike from factory.

Hope it's something simple.

Sadly I only have one fob----i'm also guessing that the fob is screwed up.

Hopefully I can get one of the three stealers that are all a minimum of three hour drive each way to give me a decent estimate of parts and labour.

Hopefully this will be just a new fob and some labour to flash it!
I'll be making the calls tomorrow.

I'll post what ever the out come is.

security antenna might have shifted or going bad.

Check the TSSM and the antenna connection, make sure they're secure.

One of the things my manual says to do is put the fob on the drivers seat and start the bike. After starting you can put the fob anywhere you want. If that works it could be a weak fob or antenna problem.

Did you check for trouble codes through your odometer?
