Screamin' EagleŽ Hydraulic Cam Chain Tensioner and High-Flow Oil Pump Upgrade Kit
I have an 01 Road King and wondering if anyone has done this retrofit (62K). If so were you happy with the results. Read about it in Road Iron magazine and sounds like a decent upgrade with performance enhancements. Part number 25284-11.

Yes, very pleased, it's an excellent upgrade. It includes a better oil pump that has a lot better hot temp idle pressure. While you're in there change the inner cam bearings to torringtons & you might as well throw in some new cams, SE204s or any number of Andrews cams are a good choice. Give Andrews a call, tell them your riding style & other mods & they can give you a good recommendation.

Chain and Tensioners are subject to fail 62K on the orignal tensioners is good they usaully fail before 20K. I went with the S & S gear drive and Andrews 510 cams in my 04 King, Harley tensioner mod was not around in 2007. I would do it again jus my .02 cents

I had my indy do it last summer on my 05, I am pretty sure he got the complete kit from Andrews instead of HD. The kit with cams was just a little over 800.00 if I remember correctly. I had the Andrews 26 cams installed, couldn't do the gear drive because of pinion shaft run out. Have yours checked before you order the gear drive kit. If it is to much the gear drive kit won't work.
