It's a long story
 

Started having trouble when my security light came on while riding and stayed on, I knew if I pulled over and shut it down I may not get it restarted because when the security light came I also lost the turn signals.

This happened twice already, so I dropped it off at dealer (under warranty), they called yesterday and said that they did a diagnostic and they think it may be the security module, it may be in the main harness, or something else. They can't pinpoint it because everything is working fine now.

This just didn't sit well with the wife (LOL), we are leaving for a trip to Upstate NY and she is afraid even if I allow them to replace the security module we may get stuck if thats not the problem.

She told me to get a qoute for a trade-in!!

Pulled the trigger on a Big Blue Pearl Streetglide and they are gonna swap over my pegs, and Ipod interface, as well install docking hardware and backrest.

Does she have a sister???

Have them make sure it's not on the campain/recall list for the Voltage Regulators.
The replacment VRs are being shipped right now. I wouldn't go on a trip without making sure.

Also look at the front tire and make sure the sidewall has no splits. Had mine replaced this am under warranty. Seems to be happening too often. 2012 FLHX 2800 miles.

What a cool wife!! Congrats on the new ride..

Enjoy the new bike, those are just two issuse Harley has had this winter/spring form their suppliers. The bikes are great. I am lucky and didn't have either problems with my 2012.
