Best Touring Seat

Probably the cheapest soloution would be an "Airhawk" seat pad. (Under $150.00 on ebay.) I rode 900+ miles in a weekend with no pain and very little discomfort toward the end of the weekend. Pretty good for a 65yr old ***. Generally on my Heritage Springer after a couple of hundred miles my tailbone was in such pain that it would ruin the rest of the ride. On my new Ultra I did over 400 miles with no discomfort whatsoever. My son on his 11 Electra Glide Classic with the stock seat was screaming. Get the HD backrest for the back support, or possibly the Kuryakyn touring backrest. Not as cool as some of the custom seat solutions mentioned but a lot cheaper.

Very comfortable seat, but not sleek. As someone already said, sleek and comfortable don't go together. I had a Sundowner on my Sporty and it was VERY comfortable and I rode it all over. I have a Tallboy on the RKC--it's basically a Sundowner that pushes you back 2 inches. Also VERY comfortable on long days and week-long tours. Also not sleek.

Stock seat on a '12 Limited is awful....especially compared to the Corbin on my old bike. Demo'd a rider hammock and a Road Zeppelin through the local dealer's program and went with the rider hammock. Would have gone back to Corbin but I'd already invested in a backrest for an HD seat. Anyway, great choice as I just returned from a 5-day ride to the Beartooth/Yellowstone/Teton country with long, hot days on the seat and my old *** was happy.
