Some dealers will take anything in on trade, boats, campers. I see it here all the time.

I work at a Boat Dealer. We have a relationship with a few HD Dealers and local car dealers. IF the dealer takes it in trade, he is going to call around for a 'buy bid' from a boat dealer. The dealer is going to bid it 'blind', not seeing it. So he will bid on the low side.

Here is reality, if it is under 25' and older than 5 years, sell it on your own. Especially if it is over 10 years old.

2 years ago i took my 22 foot bass boat to a local stealer. Offered 8000.00 so i advertised on Craigslist and sold it for 14500.00 two days after the add went out. Just sayin.

I wouldn't trade anything in if I had a choice. IMO you always lose on a trade.
