Extended cable part numbers
 

Let me start off by saying sorry for yet another handlebar thread.

I've been reading through the interwebs for three days now trying to figure out what cables to buy. I've searched here and other forums trying to figure out what Drag Specialties cables to buy. I know LA Choppers makes a kit but why on earth would someone pay $400 for a kit you can potentially build yourself for under $200? It seems the only problem is finding the correct legnth cables. I'm going to need a throttle, idle, and clutch cable to install my 13" Cyclesmiths along with a new brake line. I'm pretty sure on the brake line as I've found complete new brake lines at +6 for around $115. If anyone has done this themselves and can help me with the part numbers or legnths I would need that would be great.

Go look in the Drag catalogue, they have a section for cables by year model +2 +4 +6 etc. I just ordered a brake line and clutch cable for mine and they were both in the $50 dollar range. I put on the HD 12" bars on my 2012 SG and most say +4 for this size bars but I ordered +6 for the future if I go taller. I will be putting them on tonight.

I suggest calling Magnum Shielding to talk with one of their reps about exactly what you need. I recently upgraded to the Arlen Ness Modular Apes on my '10 Street Glide which required all new lines / cables and they were extremely helpful in making sure I got everything I needed the first time around. I went with their black pearl braided lines / cables and they look awesome.
