The concept is cool, but I kinda have to agree with Hognot, especially since the pillion has to be removed to use the sliding feature. I'd either have to ride without the pillion available or lose the space in the tour pack to have it handy on the road "just in case" some buxom young damsel in distress should find herself in need of an old turd on a Harley.
I wouldn't knock anyone who had one and found it worthwhile, I just don't see it fitting into my riding habits.

I think it's a cool idea, I'd think it was allot cooler for about half that price.

Not a fan of how it looks in the solo position:

I can see how they come up with the cost, a new seat is about $700.00 for a good one, and say HD detachable hardware is about $400.00.
That being said, I don't have a problem with my tour paks location when riding solo, and I have a back rest.

I love the idea of it. I like the look of the TP being more compact on the bike in the solo position. My wife says the TP backrest is like riding a sofa. It'd be awesome to have that back comfort as a rider!! I just wish you could avoid buying thier seat and pay a lot less. Seats are such a personal thing and it takes a while to find the right one. That said, I was considering doing the same thing via the HD accessories stuff. By the time you add up a two piece Sundowner, 4 point dock kit, TP removeable bracket and all the other stuff, you're getting close. The think I like about the Legends unit is the ease from converting from one up to two up.

Here's a link to more detailed info on it.
