Default 2012 street glide 2 into 1 pipes and chrome front forks?

found a good deal on a set of rush 2 into 1 pipes headers and pipes..was wondering the benefits of 2 into 1 or if there was a problem with them since harley only used this set up for 1 year?

also local harley said they would chrome my forks for $319 under warranty. is this a good idea? would apprecaite comments concerning cleaning or peeling etc since they take alot of hits from bugs and often get wind erosion. Thanks.

some riders do not like the 2 into 1 "look", they find dual pipes a nicer balance.

so it's all aesthetics.

generally a 2/1 will give good torque gains.

I agree with mkguitar, i think they only used it 1 year beacause it wasent a big hit. Single exhaust on a touring bike, to me, just doesnt look right. I think with 2-1 exhaust will provide more tourqe gains.

The '09 up Harley 2-1-2 is the same as the 2-1 on the '10 SG with an extra outlet for the dual muffler dresser look. It is actually a pretty good pipe. Good aftermarket 2-1 pipes will make a little more power as will a good X pipe or even true dual set-up if matched correctly. It really is a heat, looks and/or sound thing for most folks more than a power thing.
Chrome forks are easier to clean and hold up better than the stock Alum.
