Heated gear wiring
I would like to see some pictures of how you guys have integrated the wiring for heated gear into your Road Kings.
I want to get some heated gear for me and the wife but want to have the cables as neat as possible. |

well I know some guy's have done more than just having the wires hanging out loose.
Just want to see what people have done and what creative ways they have done it on Road kings. |
Not a roadking but I like this as I can easily reach it and remove it when temps come up.

There is a mountable plug that I've seen people put on inner fairings. Two guys on here have mounted them to the side covers near seat.

Yes I saw that before too just havent found them.
Keep the ideas coming. |
You should have the connector coming out from the left side, I don't know of any "creative" way to do it. Mine just peeks out just like the battery tender. Had it the same way on my Road King and now on my Road Glide. Just don't have the wiring coming out from the right side, I made that mistake and ended up getting burned across my belly because the heating element was getting pressed against me. Ouch!

Here is what I have on my 03 RKC. The pouch holds the Gerbing controller. The pouch is held on by the lower console bolt. I installed a permanant port mount from Gerbing in the left mid frame heat deflector. Had to drill a small hole to mount it. I only use one side of the controller. If you want to use both sides you will need to install two ports. All wiring is under the seat. The only wire visible is coming from the jacket plugged into the port. I leave everything mounted all year. No need to remove the controller during the warm months beacuse no one knows it there. I hope the pictures do it justice.

I like that. Do you have wiring for a passenger as well?
