Question about running a different tires.....

I purchase a Agitator front wheel and stock Dunlop tire about a month ago. Well I just bought a matching rear Agitator tire today. I have a new Bridgestone G850 tire from a VTX 1800 sitting in my garage that is a 180/55/18. I just priced the Dunlop rear tire at $250....

My question is will there be any adverse handling affects if I use the Bridgestone tire on the rear and the Dunlop on the front?

Thanks.

Juast as long as they are both radial or both bias ply there is no problem and many mix em against mfg suggestions with no problem.

no, it's fine

Over the years I have found that mixed tyres can work fine, but just occasionally I don't like them. If you find that happens then change one to the same as the other one. I think you'll find the only tyre mix we are advised against using is radial front and non-radial rear.

Thanks all. I know the Bridgestone is a Raidal but am having trouble finding out what the front Dunlop is. Does anyone know?

Odd note. The VROD with the same size tires are both Radial....

Many preach both bias or both radial. Read posts from many that have gone to radial on the back. Radial bike as well as radial car tires. Nobody has complained.
I'm about to to a wheel/tire upgrade and am thinking about a rear radial.

I'm guessing a bias. If you mean the one that's on your bike take a look at the sidewall, as the size will probably have a 'B' in it, like MT90B16.

I did a quick searh for a rear tire. It appears the CVO tire is the only Bias in that size. I checked Avon, Dunlop D207, Pirelli, Bridgeston, Continental, Metzeler.....All are RADIALS....
