Default SE 120R or S&S 124

I'm thinking of getting the 120r or the S&S 124 to put in my RG.

Is there anywhere I could see side by side dyno runs or if anyone has a dyno run from their 120 or 124 could they post it here?

Pros and cons of each? I'm thinking the S&S probably has a better bottom end (crank) but is this a fact or opinion?

Was thinking why bother going to a 117 when it's pretty much the same cost to get the 120 or 124 right?

If I go this route I'll be selling my 106 jugs and woods 7h cams and possibly my S&S ported heads.

i have no experience with the SE 120; but do have with S&S products--S&S 124 is stout, built to excacting tolerances for a crate motor and comes with a 12 or 24 month warranty depending on what year bike you are putting it in. The crank is different -- better made

Looks like the S&S T124 only fits up to '06? http://www.sscycle.com/feature/featureview.php?s_id=13

You should speak to S&S- I give them kudos for honesty.

I found a large stroker evo motor for sale locally, new in crate.

i called S&S with the particulars and they advised me NOT to put that motor in my bagger.

it would work, but was not the correct power characteristic for the weight and gearing.

I was very impressed--- and there was no effort to steer me to another product or upsell me.

nice

the S&S crate motor is EVO style 06 and earlier, they sell a 124" kit to fit the twin cams.

You can get the SE 120 in a kit also.

Looks like the S&S engines are only good up to 2006. the 124 kit is available for the 2007.It comes with the crank and heads. Seems like a better deal than the 120R to me.

they (S&S) just came out with this in May -- call Bethany Garage in NC -- they have some of the best prices on S&S crate motors -- the only thing I would change is the cam from 640 to 585 and get the compression down from 10.8 to 10.1 / 10.5 one year warranty --
