Default 2012 Ultra bad vibration 70 mph

After about 6000 miles the Ultra has started having a bad vibration 70 mph and above. Smooth before that. Normal vibs in the handlebars and rest of bike below 70.........
Items checked have been: motor mounts, alignment, belt tension, tire balance, even replaced the front tire, many fasteners, wheel bearings checked......

Almost feels like it is hopping at 70 and above. Feel the vibs in the whole bike... pull in the clutch and still vibrates.....ran the rpm up above 4000 no problems......does seem to be speed related vs rpm related.
any ideas?????????
thanks

It sure sounds like a tire issue to me. I know you checked balance and replaced the front tire. What about the rear tire? My thought is perhaps you have a slipped belt in a tire causing your issue as it took 6000 miles before it appeared.

you do need to figure out road speed vs motor speed- doing that first would have saved you time and effort on motor mounts and alignment.

so get at the speed where it is vibrating and pull the clutch in and let the motor go to idle...or even kill it...and get the tranny in neutral

note the change if any, see if it changes as the speed falls.

what happens if you brake lightly front then rear

left turn/right turn

see if anything you do affects it.

if you have an rpm related problem it should be pretty much the same whether the bike is in N or any gear

Yep...thanks...already have been trying that and rpm doesn't seem to be the problem.... head bearings were also checked.....

I have to agree it's he rear tire, since you changed the front and it's still doing it.

By chance, do you have spoked wheels on that Glide?

BTW..... the dealer has been great.... .......
taking their time and trying to find a cure before continuing ....... I think the rear tire is probably the next move......

We really don't seem to think it is RPM related as multiple people have tested it and tried different techniques .......pulling in clutch.... different RPM's..... still seems to be pointing to tires....
They have a call into the regional rep.....
Can't complain about the dealer and the service team at all.....very nice.....
