Default New member... New Bagger (to me)

Hey guys, I just wanted to chime in and introduce myself.I live in the Tulsa, OK area and I have been trolling this forum for a couple months now, doing my research before jumping in and buying a new "to me" bike.

4 weeks ago I finally found it, a 2007 FLHT, 28k miles with a Salvage Title. The PO had already replaced the damaged chrome and floor boards along with the front fender. All I had left was some rash on the right side bag, batwing and a small dent in the tank. I picked it up in KC, MO and rode it home to Tulsa with out a hitch, well... besides the grinnin like an idiot the whole trip anyway.

2 weeks ago, I finally pulled myself off it long enough to tear it down, take all the body panels to my local painter and go over everything else to make sure of what my life is depending on before my first long trip on something besides a besides a GSXR1000 or a Hayabusa.

Yesterday, I got all my body panels backs and about 10pm last night got it back together. I have posted a picture of before and what it looked like today at about noon. I still have to get my new white wall tire on the front and get rid of the couch. I'm 6'3" and 36" inseam so probably go with a Le Pera DDL and a nice Solo Seat for when I'm not hauling the wife, so I can show off the new paint.

I still have under $8k in it and wearing sweat pants is no longer an option due to the raging boner I cant seam to get rid of every time I ride.

Before

After (Lamborghini Orange)

Thanks, I feel like I got a good start on it anyway. After sitting here playing around on the forums and looking at some of the other members bikes, I can see that this is probably just the beginning of a possible MOD frenzy.

Bike looks great but you have to take the time to get your boy out of his pj's and properly dressed

My wife calls mine, the other woman. Seems I spend an awful lot of thime with the mistress, or so she says. I can see one big difference, other than the case of divorce, I spend way more time and money on the bike. Welcome to the wonderful world of baggers.
