Add me to the "can't do without it" crowd. I love mine.

I wear dress boots and suits quit often and appreciate not getting that black mark on the toe. I've ridden both set ups thought the years and bikes that I rode really aggressive with all had toe only shifters. My EG is more laid back and the heel/toe seems to work well.

Have you tried to adjusting it to your likings?
They're not one size fits all. Just cause some tech put it on there doesn't mean that's where it has to stay. I picked up my RK from some RUB that left everything just like the day he had it delivered. The heel was too high and sucked. I lowered it as low as close to the floor board as will work.
I couldn't have floorboards without a heel shifter.

I have both my toe and heel shifter set as low as I can , maybe 1/2 inch off boards at best. Love them that way.

i love mine, never used one before,, i lowered the front and rear to where they are both just above the floorboards just enough to grab the gears and not hit the floorboards,, and it works great for me,,

40 years of riding with a toe only shifter and I could not handle the heel shifter. Man, I tried, but drove me nuts. It is off and will never go back on. Had some warranty work done a few weeks back and the Tech came back swearing a storm up because he was trying to downshift and it wouldn't shift...

The last bike I rode with a heel shifter was back in 1974. I have taken it off of everyone since then. Can't stand em. Don't need to get used to them. Can't recall ever scratching my boots with a toe shifter. Each to their own.
