  • The passenger pegs chrome flakes off in spots within one season. I bought these at the same time as the mirrors.

Never again. Fool me three times, and I'm out.
The spring hinge on my Kuryakyn pushbutton fuel door broke within two weeks. The folks at Kury were nice enough to send me another spring, but it broke, too. I went back to the stock gas door. Kury used to sell good stuff. But like many companies, I think they outsourced manufacturing and/or cost-reduced designs which compromised quality.

Worst of the worst:

Traded my '15 FLHTCU for a '17 FLTRXS. Then 3 months later I traded the Road
Glide for an '18 FLHTCU instead of getting the dealer to go get the new '16 FLHTCU in
Cosmic Blue that I REALLY wanted which I found online at another dealer.

Would have saved me several thousand dollars and I wouldn't be hunting another dealer.......

Tried a Kury license plate frame. It broke and I nearly lost my plate. Never buy kuryakyn again.

Stereo u o grades in my TriGlide. About $1,000 for amp, speakers, wiring. But, it turns out I prefer riding with a 3/4 helmet with the hardwired HD boom audio headset.

Also, one of those pine tee shaped green air fresheners hanging off the windscreen. Fluttered around too much.

My peg mounts and handlebar risers flaked in less than a year, and the primary coats looked like cheap Chinese chrome.

"LOUD LIGHTS SAVE LIVES," I always say, and my modded Heritage has 17, plus blue led strips under the tank that highlights all the engine/tranny/etc. chrome.
It's hard to miss a Chinese circus at night! 😁

Regrets:
  1. Not getting a little more info on the S&S 124 LC that only lasted 7500 KILOMETERS [Canadian motorcycle].
  2. Letting Bellingham HD work on my 120R - It ran going there - they BLEW IT UP
  3. Not getting the TourPak and exhaust done at delivery when I bought my 2017 FLHXSE.
  4. Saddlemen IST seat - couldn't stand to ride it for more than 3 hours. Bought a[nother] HD Sundowner while riding through Reno. Mailed the other home.
  5. Probably could have stuck with the non-CVO. Hindsight sure, but you couldn't have told me at the time.
I do have the Kuryakyn GPS Fuel door. It has worked well thus far [5 years?] and I have the Zumo 660 on it. I also have the Kuryakyn trigger style levers. Same timeline, and they seem to be doing me well.
