Like someone else mentioned I also like threads like this to get the idea on what's good and what's possibly not.
I must admit I'm not impressed with a genuine HD led tail light. A short while ago one light went out, then bang about 7 more. They won't warranty it since it was over 6 months old, but now they said anything bought since Jan 1st is covered for one year. Tried to get them to adjust the date of invoice but they wouldn't.

The Hog Tunes setup I installed. It's been nothing but continuous headaches trying to keep it operational. Oh yeah, as much as I enjoy controlling the ipod with the Harley module it's been extremely frustrating as well.

I have the pushbutton fuel door release (not the "key" one - The "big button") and never had a problem with it. It's actually on its 3rd bike at this point.

And I have Mustang saddlebag lid covers -- Ran them for 20k or so on one bike, 20k or so on another and so far about 15k on the 'new' one. Take them off and the lids look like they just rolled out of the factory.

Just presenting the other side -- And specificity. A buddy of mine has the "little button" fuel door release and he hates it. I know a few guys with HD and -- I can't remember the other ones -- They have the bags you can attach -- that have both had problems with paint scuffing. Doesn't seem to be the case with the Mustang covers (there also aren't any straps or Velcro on Mustang covers).

I've had the fuel door push button since 04 with no problems. Woks great and super easy to use with gloves on. I like it.

Got in a rush and bought the only pouch and water bottle holder for the saddle bag guard that was in at the time. It was for the right side and has the RK insignia. On an Ultra may be wrong but the issue is I should have bought the left side one so I could reach for it when the cruise is not on. Now I have to get a left one. No issue with my locking push button fuel cap button in two years.

By far the worst modification to my motorcycles was Black Chrome powder coat. I have made a few other mistakes in the past that I felt, when finished, just didnt look right. On those, I was able to remove the part and resell it to someone who liked the part or felt it would match their bike. When your paint or powdercoat gets messed up, your just hosed.

My only regret so far has been Hogtunes amp and speakers. Setup was significantly louder than stock but didn't sound crisp. Ended up leaving the amp installed but installing Boom speakers. Sounds much better now and I made $4 back on the Hogtunes speakers after shipping them to someone else (almost paid for a gallon of premium gas).

I'm pretty happy with the amp but it interferes with my HD Boom hidden antenna so I'm back with the shorty. Hogtunes promises to ship me a new amp in early spring after their latest product upgrade so I've got my fingers crossed that it'll work with the hidden antenna.
