Default How much does a Dyno Tune cost?

Im installing some Andrews 48H cams this weekend and I understand Ill need a Dyno Tune when Im finished. Shop around here wants $250 to get it done. Is that a good price? I also understand that Fuel Moto can email me a tune for a price. I dont know much about them so I worry a little how they can do it without actually seeing the bike. Im open to the idea if someone can explain it better. What do yall pay for a Dyno Tune?

That seems like a good price. Last one I paid for was $300...maybe $350 on a 10 WG back in late 09.

The question is: Is the shop asking $250 any good at it? $250 for a crappy tune by someone not terribly competent isnt worth much.

Also, what are you using for tuning? TTS, SEPST, Powervision, .... need to ensure that item/cost is covered in the equation.

Its a PCIII on an 07 RKCustom. Honestly I don't know if they are any good or not. I asked around and this was the only place in the Jacksonville area that people gave me a name too. I did the search on the Dynojet website and 2 of 3 places are out of business.

You say "...and I understand I'll need a Dyno Tune when I'm finished".
What is your reasoning behind why you will need a dyno tune after cams are installed?
