Default 23" wheel with no rake kit

Who has done it? How did you do it? How does it ride? How much higher does it sit?

I have talked to several people who have done it and with pretty good results.
Although they all end up cutting later and going to a 26", lol.
Now there going to30"s

I was going to do some trike trees that a few companies have with no cut bolt on kits to add a 23, I even saw a couple for a 26" without cutting but I dont know about the ride.
After talking to a few guys i know have done a bunch of bikes and then ridden them thousands of miles I am going to do a cut and weld rake and stretch.

They have some disclaimers and you can call them, a couple companies I talked to swore they would ride perfectly and have done a lot of bikes.

I would keep doing what you are doing now and try to find some people who have bikes done so you can hear from the

I did a lot of searching and talked to a lot of guys and went back and forth but in the end I was thinking I could try the bolt on and if the ride wasnt right I could later cut and stretch, but like i said I decided screw it I am going to cut.
There are so many variables you ave to consider and the geometry needs to be right
Good luck.
They look great imho being tall I like the idea of stretching the bike a little and I found a rear end kit that will go together so good I am doing it all as a conversion project.

One of my recent Road Iron rags had a write up on this and pretty much said a bike needs to be raked with anything above 21".

My buddy has 23 no rake. Sits kinda high in the front. Rides fine to me. I don't care for the raked look.

23 on stock trees (stock rake) is unsafe and looks like hell. spend the $800 on some raked trees.

Done the trike triple trees with a 23" wheel little while back and I can honestly say the ride quality is great. I used progressive mono tubes up front and 940's in the rear.

You don't have to rake it but you have to run Triple trees. The ride is no different and you will regret not doing a 26"

We have done it on our Street Glide. Here is what we did. We used a wrap around fender with the 23" wheel and our smooth bottom lowers. We switched to a single sided smooth HHI 6 piston caliper and a 13" rotor. For the forks we use da Progressive spring lowering kit and lowered the front 1". We then got an extra fork stop (HD) and chopped it in half and put one half on each of the forks so that we would not have to worry about the front end bottoming out on the fender. This worked perfectly and there is no way that the crash bar or lower triple tree can hit the fender.

The bike rides great. No wobbles at any. I'll see if I can find the part number for the fork stop and if you have questions please feel free to call and ask. Here is a picture of the bike.
