I see Klock now has a 8.5" available. I have had a 6.5 for years and love it, sometimes in rain or bug storm I had wished the 6.5 was a little taller. Im 5'10" on a SG, my question is... will I be able to still look over the 8.5" or will I be looking thru it?? Please post pics of a 8.5 if you got em.
Also, Has anyone seen this new Nav-Bag Klock is selling? Windshield bag for 6.5 Flare and up, looks pretty cool but..$120 ??

 

I switched from KW 6.5" to 8.5" years ago to allow for my w/s bags and @ 5'11" I still look over the screen (even with seat mod).

Can't help you w/KW bag...mine's a t-bag/3-pouch.

 

What tint do you have?

 

I believe it's the dark smoke...

 

I have a dark smoke 8 1/2 that was a little high for me at 5'10" with a Corbin Seat. The 6 1/2" would not allow for my fairing mounted Garmin. I just lowered the 8 1/2 about 1", and it is now perfect.

I didn't like mine. It was the light smoke model. It blocked the wind just fine but if you had to look through it, you would feel drunk. As long as you were looking over it, it was fine. I've since went with a 4.5 Windsplitter and love it. I sold the KW on eBay. I have a picture of what it looked like through the windshield somewhere. I will see if I can find it.

 

I have the 8.5" kw on my 09 ultra, with a mustang seat that sits lower than stock. I'm 5'10 and have no problem seeing over it. In the rain I wish it was taller.

 

I'm 5'10" and had the same exact problem with the same exact windshield. Looking through the recurve distorted my vision quite a bit.
