Default Keeping heated grips on 12" apes possible?

I want to install a set of 12" mini apes on my 12 Ultra Limited. I was told before that in order to do so, I would lose the heated grips because the bars are not made to transfer the grips over.
Has that changed? Does anyone know of a set of bars that will allow the heated grips and throttle by wire? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have HD heated grips internally wired with 10" Monkey Bagger Bars. I've also installed heated grips in Khrome Werks sweepers and 12" Monkey Bagger Bars. The only changes I made was to extend the wiring and notch out he left switch housing with a Dremel so I could run the wires internally. Maybe the inner dimesnsions of the bars you are considering are too small for the left grip to slide inside?

Wonder why it's not possible? Too many wires and/or the fact that the left side isn't notched for any wires. If its not notched, just cut a hole like mentioned b4. I have an 06 SG and would like to install some new bars but would like to keep my heated grips. Since mine is an 06, I don't have TBW so hoping someone can chime in with experience.

I installed heat demons on my 08 SG with 12" monkey bagger bars. We had to ream the bars to make the inside diameter large enough to accept the heating elements. I was hesitant about doing this to my brand new expensive bars but all went well and am happy I did it.

I have WO575"s with factory heated grips wired inside. The temperature control is on the left grip and takes up a little space. You have to trim about 3/8 inch off the left bar in order for the grip to but up to the 1 1/4" section. I have not had any problems. I did have 2 dealerships and Hill Country Customs tell me that the heated grips would not work on WO575 bars, they were wrong.
