Due to Arthritis I am beginning to feel some discomfort in my clutch hAND when riding in city traffic and having to change gears a lot. What can I do to make the clutch pull easier? It doesn't seem to pull any harder than normal.
Really? I just answered a question like this 10 minutes ago. Lol, but Jp cycles sells a ergonomic clutch. It attaches by lever & reduces the amount of leverage needed to pull clutch. I've never used it but was thinking about it when I broke my hand.
I installed a different cam inside the tranny cover where the clutch cable goes in on my 2000 Fat Boy when I did sainless cables. It made the clutch MUCH easier. Like "Butter"
I will look into it and try to find something online for you. I think its what you want.
Only drawback is you need the header off to remove the trans cover if I remember correctly.

White Brothers ( rip) originated the Easy Boy Lite Clutch kit- a quick easy install. to save your tranny fluid roll the tires up on a 2x4 and lean on the jiffy ( after removing the exhaust and loosening the trap door bolts).
Also marketed by "Burly" and usually about $26
HD now offers a similar device as stock.
this does affect the operating range of the lever, so proper adjustment of teh clutch and cable is more important.
I pull an easy pull (like the one at BKRider) on my RK that has the stouter clutch because of the 103 kit. I did a little grinding on the hook and it works great. You shouldn't need to grind. I have bought several items from BKRider and have had no problems.
