Other than the optional coating and 18mm bungs, what are the specific advantages of FuelMoto's headers over the decatted stock headers - either from other vendors or the DIY approach? There must be something in the $300+ premium.

 

More power and throttle response/ scavenging, most performance car exhaust systems involve an xpipe between the banks of cylinders.

 

Did the DIY thing (de-cat OEM ) then went to the FM 2-1-2. The FM head pipe performs as posted above.

 

I was at a performance shop and saw them do a run with the FM 2-1-2 , Vance and Hines Power Duals and Fullsac all on the same bike to compare the differences and there were almost none , all three 2-1-2 pipes performed very similar results , the difference is FM = stainless steel & ceramic coated , Fullsac = ceramic coated , but the main difference is who you feel comfortable dealing with
