Installed my MGS duals and now I can't get the bike started. Plenty of gas but it appears no spark. Bikes not throwing any codes. I'm running a Rev Performance EMS which had the bike running fine after I installed new lifters and adjusted the push rods about a month ago. Bikes been sitting ever since. I thought maybe lifter bleed down but with the plugs out and finger over the hole, crank it and the compression blows your finger back. Rev Per controller LED's blink and then go solid like always. I checked every electrical connector on the bike and their all tight. Fuses all look good.
I did wash it today but only from the cylinders down. Used my MC air dryer like I always do.
Did I miss anything??????????????????????
I know, the new springs on the Hayden Tensioner I installed while doing the lifters must be causing it not to start.....LOL...
FOB battery would be easy fix & hopefully the gremlin, in your case. Did you pull any fuses during your exhaust install? How about disconnecting your EMS & seeing if the bike fires w/o the box? Wouldn't rule anything out, at this point.
If it turns out to be the fob battery, that is a strong indicator you need to review how to establish and then enter the manual code to get you going again without the fob, beats calling for a tow truck.
i keep a spare fob battery in my bag. my bike will occasionally act like the fob isnt near when its in my pocket. i put a fresh battery in every 4-6 months
