Default "New" Oil Temp Gauge install - connector 107?

I'm all set to install my new OTG. I did all my studying here on the forums and went over the procedure in my head several times.

Well when the gauge arrives it's a little different. No cutting and splicing. It says I need to connect the 3-way end of the harness from the kit to the mating connector at location 107. Did some further searching here on the forums and found limited info on this 107 connector.

Is this it?

Do you have a service manual, if so the electrical diagrams in the back of the manual will show you where that connector is. This must be a new gauge. Mine attached to the adaptor on the oil pan and a hot wire I believe.

Sanman4ever - That's it, if it is located near (on) the main fork bearing of the frame.

Location 107 is the connector for the air temperature gauge in your fairing. It is located on the upper left side of the frame. It is a small rectangular black box with the wires from the gauge attached. Just unplug the connector and plug your new connector for the Oil temp gauge into it. The temperature sender is not used again, so you can remove it if you desire. I just left mine in place. Hope this makes sense.

First place I checked, looked under inner fairing installation too and nothing. Everything from 108 thru 117. No frigging 107. In the electrical all is says is 3-place multilock and for a location steering head, left side. Not shown on the diagram.

Left side of steering head when you're sitting on the bike. Wasn't that your picture in the thumbnail? I just did mine on 09 Ultra.

Yes, thank you I nailed it. When you did yours did you relocate the OTG to the right side so you'd have the Oil Temp & Oil pressure gauge both on the right side?

Sanman - bought kit from local dealer in the last 30 days and installed. I did leave it on the left side cause both "oils" on the bottom row then.........
Honestly.... I just didn't feel like jackin with the wires and looks fine IMO.
Careful when installing the NPT thread adaptor into the engine case. They're tapered fittings and too tight could do some damage....in case you weren't aware.
Good Luck!
