Post ape install problems
Installed 10" Mbb apes couple weeks ago. Rode about 60 miles and now I get poor throttle response. Check engine light comes on after starting and revving about 4-5 times and then I lose all throttle response. I did cut out the green tbw connector. Is my issue those wires likely?

i get an intermittent failure of the cruise control and when i read the ecm it said the front brake switch was on. i cleared it and everything works great and a few weeks later same issue dont know if its actually the switch or a short in the wire from when the dealer installed the handlebars

No the ones that are on the throttle body itself. Again I dont think that is your problem, but it is a 2 second check. Usually you can bet that the last thing you did is the source. But the throttle body pins have been a problem with our bikes before. It could be a coincidence you never know. Good luck

Cutting and soldering should not be the problem. Check that the plugs are correct all the way down the line. Check for bare spots or nicks in the btw wiring. Sometime you can leave a bur when soldering that will poke through the shrink and short to the bar. If you're not careful you can also screw the sensor by pulling on the wires too hard. Sorry you're having trouble.
