seems that my display screen is so dull I cannot read it at night. I am referring to the radio/clock screen, not the speed or tach.

 

Toggle through the menu until you get to display and adjust from there the menu is accessed from the handlebars I just cant remember which side.

Let me add it is a 2011 ultra.

Press the volume control in several times until you see DISPLAY, then use up/down volume to adjust.

You can also adjust BASS, TREBLE, DISPLAY, FADE (if enabled), and AVC from there.

Be careful NOT to turn the display all the way down

 

I think you adjust contrast, not brightness.

The HK display is terrible at night. Leave it to HD to frig up something so simple to get right.

 

You are only able to adjust the contrast and even at the best setting it still stinks at night.
