That might be an issue for the passenger having their legs roast while idling. It would also make the bags more permanently attached and a pain to remove.
My speculation: The path of least resistance would be to adopt the Revolution engine and radiator into an updated V-Rod frame for touring. The Road Glide fairing may make this easier since it is frame mounted. If you look on v-rod forums, it's already been done and dubbed the "Road Rod". Some versions I've seen look pretty good IMO.
cyclevisions sells a Road Rod kit that doesn't look bad, but I think the V-rod motor needs to be re-tuned for touring duty. It's a fun fast motor, but not very torquey.
