Default Cruise Control Installation Help Needed 2010 StreetGlide

Hey gang, I recently purchased a factory HD Cruise Contol kit. I've successfully installed the hand control, rocker switch on the dash and now having a problem find the wire I need to connect under the seat/right/left panel.

The instructions say something about connecting the 4 pin to the ECM.......... but I found many 4 pins not connected to anything and also noway to connect it to the ECM.

Please help.
Maurice

I believe that is for the dealer download through the datalink. My dealer did it for free.

Once Cruise Control hardware and wire connections are done you need to enable the CC option in the ECM using HD Digital Technician. Some models may have CC enabled from the factory, mine did not.

I had this done by a dealer who slightly pulled the left side cover to reach the connector; all took less than 5 minutes, paper-work included and satisfaction guaranteed.

I was told that the dealer had to activate mine when I installed it on my 08 FLHT. After installing it I was on my way to the dealer and "what the hell" I tried it and it worked perfectly. Turned around, went home and rode it for four years with no problem.

Jim,
Plenty of information available doing a quick internet search for this item. Just pick who you’d want to buy from. Most do say the dealer has to employ the Digital Tech to successfully install this device.

Be aware that this is an 8 year old thread....
I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that HD stopped making the "add-on" cruise control unit a few years ago.
