I have the tallboy on my 08 Ultra. I'm 6'1" and needed the extra leg room that the stock seat didn't give me. It works for me. As far as comfort goes it's as good as stock and I have no complaints. I was looking to get Mean City Cycles to modify the stock seat but they couldn't because of the shape of the seat pan.

I'm 6-0, 190#...I installed a 09' SERG seat on my 08' SG. Later sent it off to Mean City for gel and memory foam for both my and the mrs saddle...while at Mean City, they added a tail bone relief. Does it work? Does it look cool ?? Yep, it does. I was at a point if I couldn't get this "touring" bike ridable for a day trip.... I was selling the thing and buying a Honda Wingdinger. Cancel the wingding order, this bike is an absolute blast to ride now.

6'6", 36" inseam.
For me the Tallboy was a necessity. With stock seat my nards felt smooshed and I could turn the bars hard and jam my wrist up against my knee. Not likely to happen on the road, but always there in the back of my mind. Tallboy seat makes just enough difference to remove both those issues and seems pretty comfortable. Much more comfortable for the wife! I'm sure there are other ways to spend money that could be even more comfortable, but I'm pretty happy.

One caution though--the 2 inches it gives you it takes away from your passenger. My wife is petite, so that isn't an issue, but if your situation is different, you may want to think about that.
