Default 2013 SG stage 4 race...SE clutch spring needed???

Ok guys here it goes....picked up my 2013 SG after having the stage 4 race kit put in by the dealer. Was going through the boxes of stock parts and the SE clutch spring was never put in. I called the dealer today and asked about it and they say they don't use the SE springs because they aren't needed that the clutch on my bike can handle it??? They said if I wanted it put in at any point they would at no charge but it seems like a large jump in power for the clutch to keep from slipping...any advice?

Yep, it came with the kit, you paid for the install, they need to put it in. Word of warning tho, they are a bitch to pull in.

I just put the SE clutch spring in my 96" with woods 222 cams. The SE spring is a must have, unless you don't like spinning the rear tire.

on my upgrade, i did not want the hard clutch pull so I went with the AIM Variable Pressure Clutch---works like a champ.

Agreed, this is the way to go. HD sells one and I'd wager it's made by AIM.

Did some research on the VPC and saw a hand full of people saying the VPC will slip under 3k RPM's due to the clutch not spinning fast enough yet...some were using the SE spring and the VPC or just the SE spring. Does anyone have a VPC and still have the clutch slip under low RPM's with hard launches?

Hows the bike otherwise? and why did you pick the Stage IV vs FM107 or something else?

Only rode it from the dealer to my house so dont have an idea on performance. As for the SE kit people have gotten good numbers out of them and I picked up the kit for $1700 new from the dealer. Factor in selling the programmer that comes with it and the stock heads and it cost me about $1000.
