If you are going to invest in headwork, why not match the cam, breather and exhaust system to get the most out of the build?
The ccp is of course high but with the excellent tune I got, plus comp releases she starts quite easily even on hot gas station stops. I went with the low bidder who slapped the parts I supplied him together and called it a day. Took the bike down to the dyno tuner and he did his pre dyno checks and came up with 213 /215 ccp. This is with the .030 Cometic gaskets I supplied. I am thinking the only reasonable guess is that the flat top KB pistons are sticking up from the jug deck.

Some good headwork, hi-lift rockers with that cam and a proper tune ought to get you there but there are better cam choices.

I don't get the 'my bike is or needs to 100 this that or the other', surely its either torquey or fast enough for you or it isn't?

It is good for me, more or less. A drastic improvement from stock but on the freeway it falls terribly on its face IMHO. Top end is not where it's at with my combo.

My 88 cu.in. with a TW21 and 3.15 gears will get me to 85 mph pretty quick and I don't need to go faster, anymore. My guardian angel rode with me a lot when I was young, I don't need to push it.

Sell the 204s to me, and get you a better set of cams to match your setup.

I would be more concerned with that 215ccp. That's not going to work well this summer. I would bet that ping is going to be a problem. I've seen dyno charts with 100 hp and 203's, but why push it?

The bike runs flawless in the summer, no ping and hot gas station stops with the comp releases it's no problem. Can't tell it from stock and I don't believe in running high test either. The reason I asked the question about head work is that it has zero top end, (down low it's impressive).
