I bought mine almost 5 years ago too - I actually am just about to order a new one - windshields take a beating and this one is and has been ideal through nearly 82000 - I love it - i wanted to see one with the new low flat top and I like it - might go there we shall see - this one has definitely reduced and eliminated my wind buffeting issues for a long time.
Well i bought a 10inch from Fast Aire, got it put on Sunday and took it out in the cold for a spin, 80 miles per hour and nothing, im sold! I might one day but a 8 inch and try it, the 10 is about half old man looking! haha
Picture of mine with a 8 inch LRS Xtreme then a 7.5 inch National cycle V stream.
I liked the LRS but it was just a touch to high so got the v stream and love it.
I've also tried a 8 and 9 inch recurve shields from Fastaire and LRS but no pics as they were only on the bike a day.
I like the V stream because it's not as extreme as a klockwerks or LRS xtreme but doesn't look like your average shield. It also does I nice job with the air and works better than the 9 inch recurve shield I tried.
Small point but I noted the before and after passing lamp shots and that you had peaked bezels on the passing lamps its a look I hd on my old RK nd want to replicate, are these HD items????
Cheers
Roy
Purchased a 7" LRS Ultra, but not sure of it. Feel like i get more air and buffetting than the stock 12". So I ordered a 9" LRS Ultra Flat Top and some LRS Hawg Wings. Hopefully coming tomorrow. Also getting some Airlite Engine Gaurd Chaps. Hopefully all this will make it better. We'll see...
I like the height (looking over it) just not the wind!
