Just adding a few new parts and doing spring/out of storage check up on my 08 Ultra.
How do you guys grease the steering head grease nipple.
Other than taking apart the front, the only way I see to get a grease gun on there is to swap put the nipple with a 45 or 90 degree one.
Any thoughts?
Thanks I'll check out getting one of those.
Now how much grease would that nipple take, because I can't see the grease getting to the steering head bearings where the nipple is placed.

It varies, but usually several pumps to get new grease oozing out around the bearings on both ends. Some guys report using most of a tube on the initial greasing of the neck.
Be sure an use some high temp grease so it don't melt in really hot weather and drip all over your fender and the front of your motor. Makes a mess. I use that Lucas Red n Tacky. It's a high temp grease I picked up at Tractor Supply but it and other greases that are just as good are easy to find.
A trick I learned is to wrape a piece of rope around the bottom of the neck, this will keep the grease from oozing out until the top bearing gets some grease. Agree with the correct grease so it doesnt melt out all over your fender in the heat.
