Jackpot 4" or Vance & Hines Monster Ovals
Just traded the 2004 for a 2012 FLHTCU. The dealer is going to swap the stock head pipe for an OEM headpipe with the cat removed. Going to do a Stage 1 but can't decide if I want the FuelMoto Jackpot 4" or the V&H Monster Ovals. The dealership recommended the Monster Ovals just because they are "made" for miles and miles with out your head ringing when you are done. I average about 8,000 miles per year. The youtube video of the FuelMoto 4" also sound very good. I had the 3 1/2" Jackpots on the 2004 and they were sometimes a little loud if the engine was working hard but over all I liked the sound. Just asking for opinions.

The JackPots 4" are a very nice sounding pair of pipes. I also like the Monster Ovals. Nice thing about the JackPots is you can get them with a quieter baffle. I have them on my '09 Ultra AND my '10 RKP. On the Ultra I installed the quieter baffle after a couple trips, especially when pulling my trailer, the sound was a tad too much, now they are perfect. On my RKP I left the 4" with the louder baffles, and it sounds great, and even on a trip or two last year they did not bother me one bit. Could be do to the different motors between the bikes 96 vs 103.
Love mine. Exhaust is such a personal opinion, and is very subjective. You won't be disappointed in either of your choices from a sound perspective IMO, I think it will be more of a looks thing for you - which one looks better to you for your bike.

Went through this decision just about a year ago.
Friend had the Monster Ovals on his 2009 CVO. He said after awhile they made a droning noise that gave him a headache. Also said the end caps pitted and they would only replace them once for free. I went with the Jackpots and have had no complaints.
He ended up going with Reinharts and is satisfied with those, but he says they are a lot louder than the Ovals.

I put the twin slash monster ovals on mine with power duals. I wouldn't trade these for anything! They are incredibly deep and are not obnoxious at all. My girlfriend rides her bike behind and next to me and she likes the sound. She says they are not too loud like slot of the other bikes out there.
The twin slash monster ovals are just like the regular monster ovals, but these don't have problems with peeling chrome.

Vance & Hines only had problems with the aluminum end caps. They are chrome over aluminum. Not a good mix, they are going to pit and peel.
