2 pennies,

I've ridden several of the new touring bikes and it ain't that big of a selling/buying point. Particularly when that bike's about as 'new' as it gets. If he was to buy that bike for $11K it'd be $10K under a 2013 Ultra - more than enough for me to suffer through with that archaic frame.

Bottom line, when the 2014's come out in a few months, that will be an eight-year-old bike. Period. Price is too high.

You've also received good advice about the 2009+ frame. Whether or not you can tell any difference, the general consensus is that it was an improvement and that holds the price of the 2008-older bikes down a little.

Just my thoughts.
Very good advice indeed. That's why I drifted from the Dyna pages over to the Touring pages. I wanted to hear from y'all and it seems unanimous. Good bike too high, and now I have the information needed to make a solid decision.

12.5K minus the cost to repair the blemish. That would be an excellent deal.

if you are shorter like me, 5'8" the newer frames are a bit tall. I have an 06 with 55k on the ticker and its a great fit for me. my dad has a 10 and I have to stretch to get the kickstand up from the down posistion. the new frames are a little bit taller. I cant say much on the price, mine was $12500 out the door with 50K on her. when comparing price it should be compared to the same model, JMO. personally I would shoot for an even $14k maybe offer lower.

I currently have an '06 Ultra just like the one you're looking at.It's a wonderful bike with a bulletproof engine/transmission and with only 750 Mi.
on the clock you should have many years of fun.The fluid change is not a problem either and you could ask the seller to change the tires too.I paid for mine $14,500 in '09 and the bike had 1,500 Mi.

I miss my 06. Color would be everything to me. It could be a little better price, but it boils down to if you would be happy with it.
