Default Rear pulley choices?

ok I have a 98 RG

Im doing a swingarm conversion and have a newer rear wheel....
has the 2.2" hole opening for the wheel

Is there any pulleys i can get with the 1 1/2" belt 70T with the hole opening? as my stock has a hole less than 2"

or am i going to have to get newer pulleys with a smaller belt?

what part numbers to look for? both pulley and belt

You can find out by going to Ronnies HD website, where they have parts microfiche going back for ages. Work your way through the Parts pages to find them.

That sounds right, as the ball-race bearings were introduced around then. Check the wheel bearings installed. Earlier tapered roller wheels have a separate bearing seal each side, but the seal is integral with the bearing for ball races.

When I replaced my belt at 119,000 I thought it best to replace the rear pulley too. It took a couple of days but I got an almost new one on EBay for $65 delivered. Just look out for them, and you may have to EMail the Sellers to confirm the hole size (2.25") as they don't often list that.
